Re: Query
Intemperate remarks on LBO? You have got to be kidding me. I take
that as more than a compliment-- as a recognition for a necessary job
well done.
For those who care, and I can't imagine anyone who does, since LBO is
staffed, moderated, and run by and for the benefit of anti-Marxists, my
exit remarks were about the wave of optimism some list participants
expressed when Richard Lugar replaced Jesse Helms as chair of the Senate
Foreign Relations Committee.
Specifically I asked what was so different, other than Lugar won a
cookbook contest for his lemon flip cake. Apparently, Hug Dimwood has
a sweet tooth and didn't like me insulting Lugar's culinary abilities.
Rancorous? Antagonistic? Me?
