Re.: Reporters without Borders slanders Cuba
Reporters without Borders seems like a reaction of sorts to the
altruistic Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières, perhaps
formed to exploit the "Without Borders" association for some reflected
good light. But Reporters also seems to be much more political in
orientation--and those politics are liberal (like the Helsinki Accords
was liberal, as it drove "human rights" agitprop in the Baltic states
and facilitated the anti-Soviet activities of Natan Scharansky, now a
right-wing reactionary in the Likudnik branch of the Zionist
conspiracy.). Ostensibly European, the positions of Reporters without
Borders tend to be more North Atlantic in orientation. Their placement
of Cuba coincides with US-stimulated European reaction against the
Revolution's neutralization of those imperialist propagandists
masquerading as journalists--stimulated by the US inside Cuba. In such
a dynamic relationship, Reporters without Borders also may be
categorized as engaged in propaganda. The relative placement of
Colombia, and Israel, while at the negative end of the range, is not so
bad as the place of Cuba. We can only wonder... because Cuba does not
murder reporters. We are left to assume that the bloody, vicious,
terrorist assassinations of crusading journalists in Colombia by
right-wing, government connected paramilitaries, is not as bad as
propagandists on the Washington payroll forced to accept free room and
board at the expense of the people they were committed to exploit.
