Michael Moore
Excerpts from a front-page article in today's San Jose Mercury News that
might be of interest:
----
The crowds are turning out by the thousands: 8,000 or more Saturday
afternoon at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, 3,000 in Santa Rosa Saturday
night, more than 1,000 Friday at a veterans hall in Grass Valley (home of
his sister, Anne Moore, a criminal-defense lawyer).
His Sunday night Santa Cruz appearance at the Civic, capacity 2,000, sold
out so quickly that an afternoon appearance was added; that show also sold
out.
----
Dennis Kucinich? "I agree with him 100 percent," Moore said.
Cheers.
Howard Dean? "He's a good man."
More cheers.
More political pragmatist than left-wing ideologue, Moore is leaning toward
supporting retired Gen. Wesley Clark. But he's not supporting anyone yet.
----
"All right!," he said. "`So what are we going to do about this election
coming up?"
Well, first of all, "Let's not jump too quickly into the Anybody But Bush
camp. That sends the wrong message to the Democrats, that we'll settle for''
just anybody." "If we leave the job of removing Bush to the Democratic Party
and the hacks, we are doomed, folks."
