Evo Morales for Constitutional Continuity
The leader of the MAS, Evo Morales, reaffirmed his
support for the Constitutional Continuity represented
by now President Mesa.
There is opposition in several quarters of the
movement to this support, but the idea of holding a
Constitutional Assembly appear to appeal to the
leaders of the movement.
Virtually the entire media and all newspapers are
demanding support for Mesa and his proposals as the
only solution to avoid chaos and anarchy.
Blockades are maintained for now. There is meeting
going on of the Coordinating Body of the strikes with
Human Rights groups that organized the hunger strike
in La Paz and several of the parties in the Alliance
in the government.
