US Military Assessment Team Going to Bolivia

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. military is sending a small team of
security specialists to the American Embassy in Bolivia to assess the
situation amid civil unrest in that South American nation, the
military's Southern Command said on Friday.

"We are sending a situational assessment team of fewer than a half
dozen" people to the capital of La Paz, Air Force Capt. Tom Crosson
told Reuters via telephone from the command's headquarters in Miami.
"They are expected to arrive within a matter of days."
