Bolivian President puts off his statement to Congress (AP)
The following advisory was sent out a half an our ago by AP:
EDITORS:
Bolivian President Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada has postponed a
statement that had been scheduled for release at 4 p.m. EDT.
Lawmakers are gathering in Congress to deal with the political
crisis, and developments will be expedited.

AFAIK, the news organization following events most closely is CNN en
Español. All week long they have been having phone interviews and
statements by various sides in the conflict, including by cocalero
leaders. They also have reporting teams in at least a couple of major
cities, and are plugged in with local media.
Its editorial content is in some senses a throwback to the "old" CNN US
service of a decade or more ago: there tends to be a lot more direct
statements by the protagonists themselves, not just 1-2 minute
presentations by correspondents.
