There is a point where humanism, or humanitarianism, collapses into
formalism, and thus accomplishes little other than to strengthen that forces
of anti-humanitarianism.

Yoshie's notion of "abiding" by the Geneva Accords is just such an exercise
in formalism.

What revolutionists do or don't do is not determined by a concord
established by the governments of oppressors to obscure the real nature of
their system.  These accords provide a fog of "right," "equity," "civility"
that actually augments the bourgeoisies' practices of destruction and
barbarism.

The  general "agreements" on the rules of war prohibit deliberate,
indiscriminate attacks on civilian areas.  Can anyone name a war since the
US Civil War that did not engage in such indiscriminate attacks?

But you will find the bourgeoisie leaping to their feet to protest if an
insurgent force blows up a cafe, a 4 star hotel, or a "cultural" mission of
their class, claiming terrorism by the insurgents, disregard for human
values, etc. etc.

Remember Vietnam.  What was the analysis of the bourgeoisie regarding the
perseverance of the Vietnamese in the face of destruction, and their use of
"terror" against the "civil" officials of the ruling order?  "They don't
regard human life like we do."  And of course WE proved that by valuing
Vietnamese life at less than zero and killing them without regard.

There is no such thing as international law.  There is the law of
international capitalism, which like all laws, contracts, trade agreements,
the bourgeoisie will and do violate with impunity when it serves their
purposes.

The tactics employed by revolutionists, and the targets, are determined by
that which advances the participation of all in the insurgency.  Certainly
rape, torture, etc. are counterrevolutionary-- but their "prohibition" by
international bourgeois law has nothing to do with it.
