Yes we shouldn't forget that. I would add though, that being armed isn't
enough either. After all, the army can shoot better than us. There also is
the question of class organisation and action at the point of production,
and that of political strategy.
On the other side of all this, whether a big crowd can stop a coup depends
on just how "determined" that coup is, and that in turn is shaped by many
different facets of the struggle. It's not impossible.
