Re: Was Lenin So Blind? Reply to Nestor

1. Stockbrokers, insurance salespeople, hedgefund managers are not a
proletariat bribed by superprofits from colonies. They are the agents of
expropriation.

2. Of course, it's "Hegelian" to some extent. Marx is Hegelian to a very
great extent. The question is not simply what is the current manifestation
of the conditions of the working class, but what is the totality of the
system of reproduction and what necessarily will be imposed by the needs of
reproduction of capital upon the workers. Now if that totality does not
exist, then the essential relationship of capital is no longer operable--
the critical role of wage-labor in the construction, maintenance, and
struggle against capital has disappeared-- and we've got a big, big
problem-- like explaining the movement of the capitalist economy at all.
