RE: An open letter to Peter Camejo on red-baiting

There is no royal road to geometry, no special path to Marxism.  Those
who believe that there is seem to have a clearly scripted scenario about
how this is supposed to take place...and what is supposed to be said or
not said.  Sure, Camejo--any movement spokesperson--might make this or
that point with different words and we might profit from having some
amount of Monday morning quarterbacking on such matters.

However, this has blurred into an inane argument that Camejo--the
Greens--the rest of the socialist Left are the misleaders, the sellouts,
agents of the class enemy.  This criticism is the same as that made of
other radicals who found their way to addressing large numbers of
American voters.  The real grounds for complaint here is just that:
Camejo (and a number of other socialists who've taken the Green option)
have tried to find a way to reach larger numbers of American voters.

Unless we do that, how is any talk about our internationalist
obligations anything but hollow moralizing?
