Greg Yardley watch

I was poking around Greg Yardley's "Commiewatch" site. Reading an article he
wrote (http://www.frontpagemag.com/articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=6792) on the
day the U.S. invaded Iraq and protestors demonstrated in the streets of San
Francisco I find this final paragraph:

America is at war in Iraq. God bless our troops. Regrettably, a few have
chosen
to wage war at home. May God also bless our police.

This is a guy who was once a member of a Communist organization? You've got
to be kidding.

He's also as intellectually dishonest as his boss, David Horowitz.
Yesterday, on my blog Left I on the News (http://lefti.blogspot.com), in a
piece on North Korea, I wrote this:

"Nuclear blackmail"? North Korea has never once threatened to use
nuclear weapons except in self-defense. Only one country in the world
has not ruled out the use of nuclear weapons in a first-strike situation -
you guessed it, the United States.

To this, Yardley posted the following excerpt from a Guardian article on his
website:

North Korea is entitled to launch a pre-emptive strike against the US
rather than wait until the American military have finished with Iraq, the
North's foreign ministry told the Guardian yesterday.

"The United States says that after Iraq, we are next", said the deputy
director Ri Pyong-gap, "but we have our own countermeasures. Pre-emptive
attacks are not the exclusive right of the US."

I wrote to Yardley pointing out that this quote pertained to CONVENTIONAL
weapons, as has been widely discussed in the press. To date, no retraction
on his website nor even any private apology for his error.

Perhaps he's been attending mass and hasn't had time to reply. ;-)
