Observations on the Green Party

"Here in California, in terms of voter registration, the GP is getting
whacked on both sides. Some Greens are re-registering as Democrats so

resurgent Peace & Freedom Party
(http://www.peaceandfreedom.org/index.shtml)
(P&F) because they want a more radical viewpoint. In fact, P&F is now
the
third largest party in Los Angeles County with the GP dropping to
fourth.
That's right, P&F, a bunch of raggedy-ass Socialists, now have more
registered voters in L.A. County than does the GP. This is not a good
omen
for the GP."

Well...as a P & F registrant, I'm VERY HAPPY that the party has
outpaced the GP. I fully support the P & F's socialist program. The P &
F is the only ballot qualified socialist party in the US, and in THE
hardest state to get qualified in. for me, CT Weber is THE left
candidate in these elections. I urge people to look at the above
mentioned web site for more on the P & F.

One the reasons the P & F lost it's ballot status years ago was the GP
itself, which siphoned off many of the registrants and votes, causing
the P & F to fall under 5% cutoff vote for state wide office (usually
insurance commissioner or some other more innocuous office). I don't
really believe the GP itself is threatened with loosing ballot status
in this election since I'm sure Camejo will get at least that amount if
not more.
