RE: Call for a National Labor Assembly for Peace and a comment
This was discussed between ANSWER and US LAW. What I heard is
USLAW did not see it as a conflict because their event is delegated; it
is meant to draw one delegate from each union body that affiliates.
That's on a sort of formal level. What is perhaps more shortsighted is
that USLAW didn't see October 25 as its central organizing focus, and
hasn't aggressively pushed what needs to be promoted, which is turning
the march on the Pentagon that day into a united event of the entire
antiwar movement.
