Mark (?) argued that journalists expose crimes after the fact since it makes for sensational news. I would suggest that it makes just as much sense to expose a crime while it's being hatched if it is simply a matter of getting "a juicy" story. I'm VERY MUCH aware of the level of censorship faced by mainstream journalists, which I alluded to in my response to Mark. This was partly the reason why I disagreed with his explanation.
In the future avoid jumping into debates when you haven't been following the thread.
