Re: Prostitution in Cuba (To Armando Diego.)

Marxmail is an unmoderated list.

Nothing has prevented you from
posing any questions you wish
to me or anyone else. If memory
serves, you blamed the Cuban
government, not pressure from
the US blockade, for the harsh
measures it took earlier this year
in executing armed hijackers and
imprisoning paid agents of the
United States government.

My writings on Cuba regularly
describe many of the problems
which anyone who comes to this
island would see. I do not deny
the existence of jineterismo or
other problems. I see and can
and do observe these things
regularly. These things worry
and concern me seriously and
are topics I've written about and
posted to the internet. Many can
be viewed or linked at my website
or on the CubaNews list.

The main difference between us is that
YOU seem to blame Cuba's problems
MOSTLY on the Cuban government.
Your superior language skills cannot
conceal that fundamental difference.

Your silence as to whether or not
you do favor a "political revolution"
against the Cuban government
suggests that my surmise was
correct, and that you DO favor
just such a "political revolution."

You DO favor a "political revolution"
in Cuba, don't you? Please supply
the URL for your analysis of Cuba.

Mine can be located on my website:

p.s., and while I'm not in any way
trying to compete with you in the
length of time we've been active
in defense of the Cuban Revolution,
my first public acts in defense of
Cuba were passing out literature
in my New York City high school
against the Bay of Pigs invasion
forty-two years ago, in April 1961
