Re: WSJ on Cuban "sexual exploitation of minors"
I can tell you that the Cuban Government absolutely
does not support the sex business, officially or un-
officially.
I have heard and seen up closeFidel speak about
this in public in Havana and his distress and pain
about the situation are evident. What neither the
government officially nor Fidel personally does is
to engage in hypocritical moralizing about sex, where,
the woman is denounced, punished, scorned so that
the business itself can continue for the profit and
pleasure of the sexual landlords.
Notice how Powell doesn't talk about Israel's role
as an entrepot for the traffic in women of Eastern
Europe and Russia, the sexual trafficking in minors
that flourishes around US military bases at home and
abroad, etc. etc.
