Re religious groups and indigenous peoples., I am doing some research on
the founding of the Cherbourg school in 1903 by the Salvation Army.  I have
found nothing good yet to say about the role of religions in the rounding
up and enslavement and abuse of Aboriginal Australians.  There might be
some good stuff , but I have not found it so far in the archives.

Actually the treatment of Aborigines in Qld is painstakingly documented by
the State Government and 70% of the archives have survived.  Enough to
prove beyond any doubt that there was apolicy of trying to "breed out
colour" and systematically annihilate the Aboriginal people.  It is all
there in the archives.

And of course God's Very Own were right in there.
