If you have either the time or the energy, an elaboration
of the above point would be of enormous benefit.  At least
I would personally be enlightened.

Brukman has become an annoying and obnoxious fetish among
the politically less-sophisticated activists here in Berlin;
the same kids who were fetishizing Chiapas a few months ago
(and still are) without bothering to concern themselves with
a single page of Mexican history or social studies.

Now, after the direct actions in Switzerland/France,
I'm being subjected to breathless monologues about "horizontal
democracy" and other trendy concepts the kids seemed to have
picked up through a superficial understanding of Brukman and
the occupied factories movement.

This, combined with a completely uncritical embrace of
non-violent direction action which I thought the movement
had rid itself of after S11, is enough to drive any reasonable
person batshit.
