 For the past five years, I have been intermittently
involved with support for Blackfoot sovereignty issues which have brought
me to Montana and Alberta on different occasions.

Response (Jim C) "Involved with support" is an understatement. I know Louis
will not detail it, and I cannot either fully, But Louis has been more than
"involved" as his support and direct involvement have been a critical
contribution to our struggle. Louis has been on three of the four principal
Blackfoot Reserves, he has met Blackfoot activists that no "outsider" will
ever meet, he has been involved in discussions with principal Chiefs, Bundle
Holders and Pipe Carriers of the Blackfoot that no "outsider" would ever be
let into, he has given not only material support but ideological and
practical support for Blackfoot and other Indigenous struggles and has lived
among us sharing what little we have--and our hardships and the special
surveillance/harassment from the Governments of the US and Canada--with
dignity and respect.

We consider Louis to be a Blackfoot (in the true way one is Blackfoot) and
one of us.
