Re: Forwarded from Bill

The reason I want feedback is that I went into the Socialist Alliance with
blinkers on. There were some great comrades from the DSP and Independents
but on the whole I found them too arrogant pig headed and very much anti
worker. To attract the working class you need to be able to communicate in a
easy to understand way and be open to their(our) problems, concerns etc.
Turning up to protests for the sole reason of trouble making or being "cool"
does not sit well with the majority of working class. As a Australian
Manufacture Workers Union (AMWU) delegate and regional councilor I see first
hand the desire for fair workers conditions and socialist values. The
problem lies in the "feral" (their word not mine) look and action of some
socialist groups. I live in Adelaide where the Socialist Alliance is weak
and DSP influenced. I have showed my members info from the SEP(Socialist
Equality party) on the link between cancer and factory pollution in New
South Wales. This has a eye opening affect on our members I also show them
the links between that and Capitalism/Imperialism (including our governments
and the warmongering of the USA) We the Workers are ripe for Marxism we
just need the right vehicle to jump on. This is what im seeking
