Re: letter of resignation from the ISO
Well, Tom, I admit it's all turrbly sad, and I kind of feel guilty now
for being dry-eyed. Nonetheless, I don't see how I could have gotten
through these types of experiences myself without a sense of humor,
and I recommend it to others.
Actually, rereading this dialogue from one of the most perfect
comedies ever made, I find it had to believe that at least one member
of the Monty Python group hasn't spent some time in the British
Trotskyist movement. Where else could they have learned that perfect
repetition of the word "splitter."
But if anyone is dismayed by Monty Python or anyone else finding humor
in the problems of the revolutionary or would-be revolutionary
movement, all I can say, in the spirit of civil discussion and ending
name-calling on the list, is:
I FART IN YOUR GENERAL DIRECTION!

>>Yeah. Not those rich imperialist tit bits.
Ha-ha. Yes, anti-imperialism is pretty stupid isn't it...
Oh, that's not what you meant? Oh of course, you meant it's very
amusing
watching a section of the left collapse. I'm afraid I don't share the
amusement, perhaps because I know them and they are real human beings
not
caricatures, and in their time they have done some really good things.
