Walter Duranty's employment was balanced by everyone else at the NYT as
well as "overbalanced" by NYT anti-Communist editorial positions.

Herbert Matthews' reports from Republican Spain were balanced by William
Carney --who lived like a pet mouse in Franco's pocket.

Joshing aside, the FCC is about to catapult any semblance of balance
into some deeper dark space.  Megamedia corps will be soon unleashed to
gobble up their smaller competitiors, and maybe all but one or two of
themselves.  You thought news coverage was pathetic so far, just wait!
