CNN distortions - Amir As-Sa'adi surrendering
Amir As-Sa'adi, one of the 54 most wanted "dead or alive" Iraqis,
according to the "deck of cards" being handed out by the US military
commands, turned itself into the US occupation forces, accompanied by
a team of German TV station ZDF. As-Sa'adi chose the German
journalists because his wife is from Germany and they had been
looking the ZDF programs quite frequently, they said.
Amir As-Sa'adi was the Iraqi official working with the imperialist
"weapons inspectors" in the period leading up to the war.
So far CNN reported the facts OK.
But CNN also said that As-Sa'adi had claimed to know nothing about
"weapons of mass destruction".
This is the malicious twist.
In the short interview with ZDF before turning himself in,
As-Sa'adi said on the contrary that he knew EVERYTHING about the
"weapons of mass destruction" and that he knew that there where none
at all in Iraq.
