A very good article - but it is worth adding that this project of the
extreme right-wing of the USA goes back a lot before 1980 - really to the
dropping of the atpmic-bombs on Japan in 1945 as a warning to the USSR (not
even told, as an ally, of the intentin to us the new weapon) and to ensure
that Japan would be occupied by the USA alone. THAT was not just a campaign
against the USSR, but the onset of the internal anti-communist campaign,
culminating in the MacArthy "Un-American Activities" committee - intended to
curb the growing demands of the working-class movement.

The people of USA, Britain etc. have been subjected to continuous
anti-communist, (essentially anti-democratic) propaganda for nearly 60
continuous years....
