One final comment in this thread and then I'm finished...I haven't said
anything about Saddam except that *absent an assault by foreign
imperialists* I don't understand why I must find his regime worthy of my
support.  I certainly don't think Saddam's regime should be used as a
litmus test of some kind.  I think the only relevant litmus test is whether
one supports Western imperialists making war on Iraq.  I don't.
