That is your expansion of his comments, which in my reading did
nothing to disregard the validity of the process of such an analysis.
He characterized the Ba'ath party as socialist, and provided some
supporting evidence, their lineage. It was met with "oh yeah, they
CALL themselves socialist" comments but noone has answered them. Bin
Laden calls them socialist, too. Mr. Proyect's posting of the Tariq
Ali summation of the Ba'ath Party origins lent some support to Liu's
characterization in my eyes.

Some basic materials for the analysis have been presented, but you
post a 7 point diatribe without one fact regarding the Ba'ath party,
the Iraqi Communist party, and with no attempt to carry out that
analysis or refute what so far is the only hard evidence supporting
ANY thesis. That this exploded into flames is not any one person's
fault IMO, so do not attempt to place the failure of others to address
Liu's characterization, solely upon him.

I ask this in closing, can anyone provide sources for recent Iraqi
history? I have read the Ali already, and want more.
