The nightly news propaganda is telling us that "the Iraqi regime is
crumbling" and showing footage of Iraqis enthusiastically welcoming the
"liberators" as proof.
I did see a few pictures of one or two Iraqis defacing posters of
Saddam. My housemate just told me that a group started chanting "down
with Bush!" and then one started reprimanding them (or explaining?) in
Arabic and they quickly changed the chant to the appropriate pro-Bush
anti-Saddam one. Like, they are a bit confused about who they are
supposed to support this week maybe...
I certainly didn't see any rejoicing crowds or the invaders being
showered with flowers or anything like that.
My housemate pointed out that Hitler got a better welcome in Poland.
