I am glad Tom responded to Henry in a peaceful manner finally. I stayed
out of this squabble because I agreed with both sides a lot really.
We all knew that if the Republican guard could have hurled back the
Americans then the day of reckoning for capitalism would have been palpably
closer. Now we are faced with pictures of marines sitting back smoking in
the ruins of an Iraqi palace. They have made a wilderness and they call it
peace.
The struggle though will go on for a few more weeks. I think. However the
longed for uprising in the Arab nations did not occur The two Abdullahs
and Hosni Mubarak still cling to power. But the contempt they are held in
by Arabs everywhere will eventually bring them down. Only Asad in Syria
has gained anything out of this disaster.
The next few weeks will be unbearable, but 'if hopes were dupes, fears may
be liars'. I still maintain that this war will turn out to be a war too far
the Imperialists.
regards
Gary
