I provided a report of Wolfowitz's view which incluede the followiung:
Sen. Richard G. Lugar (R-Ind.), the chairman of the Senate Foreign
Relations Committee, .....said Wolfowitz's views about Iraq appeared to
be motivated by "high idealism" and "concern for human rights."
"I have never seen so much loose thinking about democracy," countered
Thomas Carothers, a scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International
Peace who has studied U.S. democracy-building efforts worldwide. "The
idea that you can produce a democratic tidal wave throughout the Arab
world is a dangerous fantasy. What we are ending up producing is
incredible hatred."
That view seems to coinside with Tom O'Lincoln's. I never attacked Tom
personally, only reacted defensively on his view on this matter. You are
welcome to show how I erred in that comparison. On the other hand, you
can let it pass if you think its unworthy.

Correction:
Your view is that of Wolfowitz.
I'm sorry, I find your reply to Tom O'Lincoln unworthy of this list. It
is quite possible to be critical of Saddam Hussein and not build him up
into a socialist hero while still opposing the war stropngly, as Tom
O'Lincoln has repeatedly shown.
Your reply is simply a polemical cheap shot. Using such methods you
could also convict Marx or engels or Lenin of being pro-capitalist,
because they spoke of teh progeressive role of capitalism.
