I thoroughly agree with this take on the issue, but I still felt that
Henry's attack on Tom was inappropriate in this forum. In the current
war I stand for the defeat of the impreialists - but nevertheless in
discussion among ourselves I see no point in painting Saddam as some
kind of "socialist" hero. The Iraqi working class has a number of
accounts to settle with Saddam, but it rightly doesn't trust the
impreialists to do anything in the interests of the Iraqi masses.
