Re.: Canada's complicity in the war on Iraq
Don Cherry's hockey rants flow into the minds of working class fans
in Anglo-Canuckistan,* while Mike Harris's "Progressive Conservatives"
and the reactionary Canadian Alliance lool like they'll wed to produce
a party for the Right in Canadia. Coupled with grassroots francophobia
that has never been rooted out, it does indeed look like troubled times
ahead for the good Neighbour to the North.
Then again, there has never been a better time for internationalists
to forge alliances against our common enemy--now rising ever more
revealed in its imperial obscenity.
*Hockey in Canada is like futbol in Brazil. Opinions of pinheads like
Cherry have, therefore, way more effect than they should--even tho
some regard him simply as a clown. Many felt the same way about
Mr. Schickelgruber and his ideas...
Which brings to mind the necessary reactionary complement to
international solidarity: the struggle against a bizzargh fascism.
