Today I am going to remove the "clip extraneous text" filter in our
listserv software. Since Les has been swamped by his job, I have taken over
technical coordination. In most cases, the amount of quoted text is not
that great as to require that kind of intervention. I will say this,
however. If you repost a lengthy article that somebody has just posted with
a two or three sentence comment, it will be called to your attention.
Repeated violations will result in a loss of your posting privileges.
Please try to pay attention, comrades. We are trying to conserve bandwidth
and it only takes a few seconds to clip extraneous text.
