The North Carolina capital newspaper published a poll today showing 60
percent favoring war... but we are the state of Jesse Helms and Elizabeth
Dole. The racial divide on the question here is clear and sharp. The
strong majority of Black folk have no interest in attacking Iraq.
Exceptions tend to be those folks who have been convinced by propaganda
that there is a connection between SH and OBL. NC is around 70 percent
"white." Welcome to the sunbelt, where reaction grows like kudzu.
