Let me elaborate on this a little bit. Every post to Marxmail
automatically has a line appended to it that you see immediately above
this one. I put in an asterisk in "PLEASE" so that it would get past a
filter we have implemented in majordomo that weeds out anything with the
above phrase minus the asterisk. Les and I discovered that when people
include that line in their replies, they also tend to leave in all of
the text that they are replying to. As a rule of thumb for this email
list and any others for that matter, you should eliminate any text that
is not relevant to your reply. On Marxmail, there is the additional
consideration that I pay for bytes transmitted. Also, we have many
subscribers in 3rd world countries where dial-up connections cost a lot.
So we want to make sure that they get their Marxism list messages
without useless text.
