Thanks to Louis for posting my earlier piece introducing and excerpting Jim
Blaut's presentation of Lenin on nationalism. (And belated apologies to the
DSP comrades for the reference to them as "centrist", which I now consider
wrong --- they are revolutionary Marxists.) But although my intro refers to
Nairn in passing, the excerpt itself does not. Jim's book does contain a
whole chapter on Nairn and his "break-up of Britain" thesis, and does a
devastating job on Nairn's views. I hope the book will be reprinted some
day. Nestor's reference to Antipode is a good one, too.
