Michael Perelman:
As I already wrote, I think your article is excellent and illuminates
important elements and problems in Marx's work.
For what it's worth and to be more specific:
1. The analysis of Marx's "political considerations" in dealing with
problems that might give credence to Malthus is absolutely on target.
2. The discussion of the "awkwardness" in Marx's exploration of the falling
rate of profit (and through its linkage, to overproduction itself) is of
great importance. It's an awkwardness I think we all feel in the reading of
Vol 3, and an awkwardness we all wrestle with when trying to describe the
real conditions of capital with these tools.
