Re: They're still waiting for the procrastinating shopper
I saw rather similar blather in todays NY Times and
Boston Globe. The question in my mind, is who
these writers and pundits trying to kid. Are they
trying to humor the "procrasting shoppers" themselves,
who thus far have been declining to spend, for the simple
reason that they lack the means, or are they trying to kid
the creditors of the retail chains, who must realize that
after the holidays, we will be seeing more retail bankrupticies,
or are they trying to kid investors who will most likely
continue to take a bath in the new year? When I see
that sort of punditry, I am never quite sure who the
intended audience is suppose to be.
