for an interesting comparison, see this article on US weapons program
funding, below. tho no-one here is going to cry about inability to
create a program of more lethal, higher tech weapons systems, combined
with the allegations of US companies selling system components to Iraq
and such, its clear (as always) there is a major economic/political
force at work in the heart of the imperialist center that depends in
part on sustaining military hardware production levels as a way of
keeping the economic system itself afloat.
