re: Iraq frees all prisoners!
John O'Neill asks: Does this mean that Iraq is now the only country in the
world with
absolutely no political prisoners!!!
If what happened at the prison near Baghdad has taken place across the
territory controlled by the Iraqi government, Iraq is for the moment the
only state in the world with absolutely no prisoners at all.
The Bush administration may well denounce Iraq for releasing the "common
criminals" which was probably even more popular among Iraq's working people
than the release of the political prisoners
Certainly a bad example for a
country where ever more wealth is being expended to build ever more prisons
to pack in ever more "common criminals" from the working class and oppressed
nationalities.
