I read Bob Gould's piece on the DSP and I had a mixed reaction to it. I am
full of similar stories about the ISO and it is why I would never, not ever
contemplate a return to that particular fold. But the Socialist Alliance
Initiative does not require me to join the DSP. The socialist Alliance is
a united front. That is the point that Bob is glossing over. Moreover it is
a *new* initiative on the Left. Bob's recipe of joining the ALP, is he
will readily acknowledge, not exactly new. Nor has it ever been very
successful.

But as for the ALP, I have had my say on that. In some ways the ALP is
best left to the ALP. It does more damage to itself than we of the Left
could ever do.

BTW will someone please tell me what is the trouble that is brewing inside
the ISO...
