Ciro Gomes is not communist. Gomes has a trajectory politics closed to the
segments of the Brazilian right. It was also member of the party that
supported the military dictatorship. It is candidate for the PPS to
construct an appearance of opposition to the government, but he was part of
the party of the government until recently. He left the government party
because he lost the indication for candidate to the presidency for Jose
Serra. Now, its main ally will be back to the coordination of the campaign
of Serra.
