Ed,

I agree with just about everything you said.

Except for one major flaw: you completely misread by original e-mail.

I wasn't "tirading" against liquidationism, centrism, what have you, but rather 
*advocating* such a course.  When I say that the USFI has had nothing to do 
with Trotskyism for some time, I saw this as a heavily enthusiastic support of 
the Usec majority and a staunch advocate of this approach.

Perhaps my sarcasm was easily interpretable as earnestness.  In which case, I 
suspect I'm sort of tone deaf when it comes to that sort of thing, and will 
refrain from such weak attempts at irony in the future.

I thought it was fairly obvious I was holding up the USFI as a shining example, 
compared to the ostrich-like failure to confront reality inherent in the 
approach of the ITO and such formations.

Hope this is clear now.
