Some years ago, I said that the coming recession will be
L-shaped. Obviously I was wrong. In these days, it "feels" like
it is proving to be more like a VL-shaped recession and coming
revisions may still chop that V part. This is just a feeling
though. I have no knowledge of the future, nor I am that
"certain" about the "to-be-many-times-revised" recent past.
If my prediction proves to be right, I suspect we will witness
many a wars, however local/regional they may prove to be. This is
why I think Tariq Ali's call from the UK to the US is very
important:
