Fun and Games at cpgb website

I would recommend a visit to the cpgb website for some puerile enjoyment.
The letters page contains classic letter from a group styling itself the
Workers International Vanguard League who have assumed a lead role in
telling the worldwide working class the line in Palestine.
There's also a nice letter about Gibraltar from someone who doesn't want to
lose his British identity...

The best one of all is a vindictive article (in the main paper) on the
Scottish Socialist Party - who are accused of 'National Socialism' because
they believe Socialism is worth fighting for in Scotland. The logic of the
article is to take the necessity of worldwide revolution and to counterpose
it against anything remotely concrete in Scottish terms (which is moreover
termed 'reformist'). I particularly enjoyed the paragraph where the writer
(Jack Conrad) compares Scotland with Russia in terms of resources and twists
the knife into the SWP (UK) on the basis of a Trotsky/Stalin quote.
Slug-fest of the ultra-left...

An almost immaculate formulation of what ultra-leftism is all about in
colonial nations. It is followed by a detailed consideration of Polish
Nationalism and Luxembourg - although any lessons learnt are left hanging
and not applied to the concrete conditions at hand (I wonder why).

Anyway, a little light amusement makes a Monday morning go in quicker.
