I was going to say nothing about this matter, up until now this was old news,
but this hits the nail on the head. The fact is this list does continue to
tolerate some of the more sexist bull-shit around. There is little wonder why
the gender disparity on this list continues to be the achillies heel of the
otherwise valuable contribution it makes.

Comrades need to get one thing straight: If the old methodologies of
social-Darwinism masquearading as Marxist thought are to be condemned as outside
the pale of this list- then surely so are the sexist garbage posts that continue
to justify the "just wait until after the revolution" nonsense that so-many
otherwise revolutionary minded people (men) continue to make. If it is too much
to try and fit indigenous struggles into a nonsensical "historical materialist"
dogma (as opposed to emancipating analysis), then it sure as Hell is time we
stopped tolerating comrades- male, overwhelmingly- who think that because we
advocate sexual freedom and abortion on demand as addendums and tag-ons to our
current analysis we have done some sort of revolutionary duty. More-
revolutionary men need to stop thinking that raising these calls, looking beyond
things as simply another way to advance socialism, *but as righteous fights into
and of themselves, class based or not* is a favour or a tip of the hat to the
womens caucus or something.

If we are to look at this kind of post by Joan as a disease to eradicate
association with our fine tradition- a worthy goal-- it's time we did that for,
what is it? Oh yeah, 51% of the population.

Sometimes these questions miss most "radicals". Stop allowing it.
