Lou, being a member of the so-called "coterie" that Martin referred to, the fact
that an insiders club exists and gets special treatment (and a license to say
whatever we want), while others get thrown off is a fact. I can think of a half
dozen times I personally have exploded with things far more hostile than
anything Martin has said and not been kicked off. I think we should address
this, because the end result of this insiders club building has been to hone
down the list to the point where we no longer get the kinds of polemics and real
debates that once endured on this list. I'm not talking about Stalin Trotsky,
I'm talking about how this list has slowly catered to friends to the point
where, soon, it will be pub talk.

It's your list, do what you want, but everything Martin said about "us" is
absolutely obvious to the outsider- and the archives will show it to the honest
insider by looking back two years and then jumping ahead to now.

Don't shoot the messenger.
