It's actually a good question, comrade. But, alas!, you must be careful. The
officials of the Marxism List have long ago deemed such "Trotsky-Stalin"
discussions verboten, and consigned them to the shadows. Such an outburst of
honest political discussion could lead to being thrown overboard. And we
wouldn't want that now, would we?

On this list, you should take your cues from the landlord, Lou Proyect, and
limit yourself to such burning political issues of the day as the latest
arthouse movie or obscure Althusser reference in the New York Review of
Books. Questions of building a revolutionary movement -- or fighting for
proletarian revolution -- should go somewhere else.

I'll send you my thoughts privately, so as not to violate the rules of the
list. After all, these comrades adhere to the principles of democracy like
they adhere to the principles of communism. And we should accept their
understanding of such principles.
