I'm sorry I was so presumptuous about your motivations, but my
embarrassment has an ambiguity: I am happy you
expressed strong arguments for positions you convincingly support (and
me, too).

I can't argue with you about what you wrote in your last post (except
*my* motivations, but I think that is why such communications conduits
as this list are useful).

I agree about activism, too, only I can't join every movement, so I
decided a while ago to be a part of one that I hold as an aegis over all
the ones I support.  For me, capitalism and its class system,
imperialism, hierarchy, patriarchy, sexism, racism, and environmental
degradation all contradict a just and healthy world socialist economy
for international, communist humanity.

In the meantime, I think the North American working class can benefit
both itself and the world by recognizing who and what it is--and since I
am in its midst, I see no better work for me to do.  I hope I do not
slight any of our allied movements in the process, as they are, as you
quite ably point out, all of a piece.
