Re: British SWP shift to two-state position on Palestine
Johannes:

Correct. Not to mention that the AWL contradicts itself in its own
statement. On the one hand it claims that
>> "Two nations, two states", or an independent Palestinian state alongside
Israel, follows immediately [logically] from "Israel out of the occupied
territories". <<
On the other hand, it says the SWP position
>> ... indicates that the acceptable outcomes from Israeli withdrawal from
the Occupied Territories are either an independent Palestinian state
alongside Israel, or a single democratic secular state merging both nations,
Israeli Jewish and Palestinian Arab. <<
An independent Palestinian state (alongside Israel) and a single democratic
secular state are obviously distinctly different options. In their sectarian
enthusiasm, the AWL is trying to have it both ways.
