Re: Draper, Juriaan, Louis and me

Me: I'm an ex-Berkeley radical who later helped found the International
Socialists in Australia. I do a lot of stuff around Indonesia, in between

the latter sin, I was elected to the ISO National Committee last January
-- which of course is impossible in a Zinovievist sect, so perhaps there's
a leak somewhere in the space-time continuum.
Tom and I have made it up have a 20 year feud, one which incidentally he
did not notice. But we Irish are subtle in our ways. However anxious
though I am to let sweetness and light reign everywhere, I have got to say
that I am not at all surprised at Tom's election to the NC. What does
astonish me is that he cannot see the mechanism at work. Get out Godfather
Part 2 Tom and run the scene where Michael Corleone stresses the need to
keep one's friends close but the enemy closer. Then meditate on the
impossibility of your electoral victory!
As to tolerance for all including the Zinoviests, I suppose so, but the
disillusioned, burned out and depoliticised are many; and it is the same
Zinioviests that did it.
Still forgive and forget. Why not? Next year in Jerusalem - who knows?
warm regards
Gary
